What is Aident Loadout?
Aident describes Loadout as a capability layer that connects an existing AI agent to apps and executable operations. It is not simply another chatbot: you use it with a supported coding agent or chat client, connect the services you need, and ask the agent to use their available capabilities.
Loadout organizes those capabilities as Actions. An integration is an app or service; an Action is a specific operation with its own inputs. Aident’s public product page currently advertises access to 27,000+ Actions and 400+ expert-built Skills. Those are provider-stated catalog figures, not a promise that every action will work with every account or agent.
How the workflow fits together
- Set up a supported agent. Aident provides different setup instructions for clients such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, OpenClaw and ChatGPT. The exact steps depend on the client.
- Connect the app you need. Some integrations use your own OAuth account or credentials saved in Aident Vault. Other built-in services may use Aident-managed access and consume your Loadout balance.
- Ask for one defined task. The agent can discover relevant Actions and their input requirements. Check that the chosen app is connected and that the requested operation matches your intent.
- Review what happened. Audit can show action calls, status, source, time and cost where applicable. For an action that sends, edits or deletes something, verify the final state in the destination app too.
Aident says a connected setup can be reused across supported agent clients. In practice, integration availability, account authorization and client setup still matter; a service appearing in a catalog does not mean your account is already connected.
What to check before connecting an account
Aident’s documentation says Vault manages account connections and credentials, and that agents receive connection status rather than the provider’s raw password or API key. This is the provider’s description of its own system, not an independent security audit.
- Review the exact permissions requested by each connected app. Connect only the accounts and scopes needed for the task.
- Start with a read-only request using non-sensitive information. Confirm the result before allowing changes or external messages.
- For email, publishing, repository, payment or customer-record actions, keep human review in the loop and verify the destination app after execution.
- Check Audit after a run. If an agent times out, do not assume the action failed; the provider’s docs advise checking Audit and the destination before retrying.
- Read the privacy and retention terms for both Aident and the connected app before using confidential or regulated data.
Pricing and free access
When checked on 26 October 2026, Aident’s pricing page listed Pay-as-you-go at $0 per month, with usage funded by balance top-ups for eligible Aident-managed services. It also advertised 20 free signup credits and up to 100 credits as onboarding is completed. Credits are usage balance, not a promise of unlimited free actions.
The same page listed Pro at $9.90 per month, with $5 added to the balance monthly, and Team at $59 per month, with a $29 shared monthly balance for up to four people. Additional seats, top-ups, eligible services and future plan changes can affect the total cost. Verify the current pricing and the specific Action’s credit use before running frequent or long workflows.
Who may find it useful?
Loadout may be worth evaluating if you already work with an AI agent and want a reusable way to connect it to business apps, discover defined operations and review execution history. It may be a poor fit if you only need a conversational chatbot, if the required integration is unavailable, or if you need a fixed cost that is independent of Actions and connected services.
A useful first test is narrow: connect one low-risk app, ask for a read-only lookup, inspect the returned data and audit entry, then decide whether any write-capable workflow is appropriate.
Frequently asked questions
Is Aident Loadout itself an AI agent?
Aident presents Loadout as a capability layer for existing agents and compatible clients. The agent interprets your request; Loadout provides access to integrations and Actions.
Can I use every app without connecting an account?
No. Some services require your OAuth authorization or credentials in Vault. The requirements vary by app, and the catalog should show what is needed.
Does the free plan mean every Action is free?
No. Pay-as-you-go has no monthly subscription fee, but some Aident-managed services use credits. Check the current balance and price for the exact app and Action.
Does Audit prove that a change happened in the connected app?
Audit records the action call and its reported outcome. For important writes, check the destination app directly before retrying or assuming the final state.
